Our Process

1

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation will take place in your home with designers. At the 1-2 hour meeting you will discuss your wish list, objectives and desired investment range. The main purpose will be to spend time getting to know one another so you and Crown Home Design can determine if we would be a good fit to work together. At the end of this meeting it is okay to say "no" if you do not want to proceed with our company. If we determine that we are a good fit, the next step will be to sign the Design Build Renovation Agreement, and the first payment will be required so our design team can start planning and designing your spectacular new space.

2

Concept & Design Development

Concept and design development is part of the planning stage, and is essential to the success of any home renovation. During the next few weeks, our professionals will measure the premises and produce an existing floor plan of your space. The design team will begin to prepare concepts through drawings and sketches, establish a preliminary scope of work with an approximate budget, and select finishes, materials and appliances.

3

Final Design Presentation

Your designer will schedule a presentation meeting, at which you will be presented with the final drawings, detailed scope of work, specified colour chart and Fixed-Price Construction Agreement. Everything will be included, with no additional costs or surprises. Together, you and the designer will review the entire scope of work, line by line, along with a finishing schedule. The designer will also present you with a 3-dimensional coloured concept rendering of your new space. Upon signing this Construction Agreement, a start date will be determined, and you will need to give Crown Home Design the keys to the premises.

4

Getting Started: Construction

Many important steps are taken by Crown Home Design to ensure your project runs efficiently and smoothly. The Construction Manager will arrange an introduction meeting between you and the construction crew that has been assigned to work in your home. Project schedules and timelines with be discussed, and construction preparation will begin. Prior to any construction starting, the crew will protect and secure all areas as required. A garbage bin will be delivered, and demolition will commence.

5

What You Can Expect

Throughout the construction phase, you can expect the site will be cleaned daily, the construction manager will perform site inspections on a regular basis and ongoing customer meetings will be held with the designer to keep you informed and up to date. You will also be required to submit regular payments as outlined in the Construction Agreement. For your convenience, Crown Home Design will send you an invoice for each payment.

6

Project Completion

Each room in your home that has been affected by the renovation will be cleaned by a team of professionals. As a courtesy, and at no additional cost to you, Crown Home Design will also arrange to have the interior ducts cleaned throughout your home.

7

Customer Inspection

One of the most exciting days during the renovation process happens when you do your final walk-through. No matter how exhilarated you are and eager to move back into your home, you should take your time on the walk-through and carefully check every room. It is important to us that you are completely happy with the outcome of the project. At this time, the final payment will be required, and your 2 years warranty with Crown Home Design will begin.
